Thawing & Tempering Solutions

A Wide Range of Solutions

We offer a range of industrial defrosting and thawing solutions for thawing and tempering of meat, poultry, fish, seafood, vegetables and dairy. All of our solutions provide fast and even defrosting with near zero drip loss and improved product quality. Our solutions include three different technologies, each tailored to meet your specific needs:

Stalam Coldwave RF (Radio Frequency) Defrosting

Stalam RF defrosting enables all types of foodstuffs to be tempered in-line from -18°C to just under 0°C in minutes. For example, a 25 kg block of sardines can be defrosted from -20°C to -1°C in just 20 minutes without developing hot spots. This technology supports defrosting in various types of packaging, including cardboard boxes, plastic bags, poly liners, and plastic crates. The capacity of Stalam RF solutions ranges from 250 kg/hour to 12 tons/hour, depending on the machine size and the final temperature required.

Kometos Finncold Controlled Forced Air Defrosting

Kometos Finncold solutions utilize a PLC-controlled thawing process, where temperature, air flow, and humidity are managed using sensors for product surface, internal temperature, and room temperature, as well as humidity sensors. Seafood can be defrosted on racks or in pallets to a positive temperature (e.g., +2°C) in less than 24 hours with minimal drip loss and an even distribution of temperature throughout the product. With thawing capacities from 1 to over 48 pallets, these units are ideal for food factories and processors of all sizes.

Peruza Water Defroster

The Peruza water defroster is designed for industrial defrosting of frozen fish blocks or IQF fish products in water. The advantages of water thawing include minimized weight loss compared to traditional methods. Up to 2.4 tons of fish can be defrosted per hour, with or without boxes or crates.
